The Kodak Gallery photo hosting Web site today is announcing Smart Fit Technology, which allows users to easily create photo books.
The Smart Fit Technology makes use of photos you've stored on the Kodak Gallery Web site. Smart Fit sorts photos by date and capture time, and maintains the proper aspect ratio of each photo. You then can create the photo books with just a few clicks.
Users then will be able to choose from small, medium, and large books, in either soft covers or hard covers.

You probably don't expect thin, point and shoot cameras to have many high-end features, but the recently announced Lumix DMC-FX700 from Panasonic will change your thinking.
The Lumix FX700 can record full 1080p HD video, which isn't common in a camera measuring 0.97 inches in thickness. You'll also find 14.1 megapixels of resolution, a 5X optical zoom lens with wide angle capabilities, and 3.0-inch touch-screen LCD.
Finally, Panasonic has included a high-speed MOS image sensor with the Lumix FX700 that should improve low-light photography. The FX700 carries a high-end price with its high-end features, as the camera has an MSRP of $399.95. (Compare Prices) The Lumix FX700, which was announced in July as part of five new Panasonic cameras, is available in black and silver. Panasonic recently sent me a review unit for the FX700, and I should have a review published in the next couple of weeks. Check back with my blog or check the Panasonic cameras review page to see the review once it's published.

Olympus is pairing the PEN E-P2's black camera body with an all black lens and flash unit in a PEN E-P2 black kit. The kit will be available in October for about $1,000. PEN E-P2 cameras are already available for sale. (Compare Prices) Additionally, Olympus is announcing two new Micro Four Thirds system lenses. The M.Zuiko Digital Ed 75-300mm f4.8-6.7 lens (150-600mm equivalent) will be available in December for about $900. It is the world's smallest super telephoto lens, according to Olympus. The M.Zuiko Digital Ed 40-150mm f4.0-5.6 lens (80-300mm equivalent) will be available in November for about $300. The PEN E-P2 is a DIL camera, giving it image quality similar to a DSLR camera but in a smaller camera body. I am planning to publish a review of one of the PEN models of cameras soon. Olympus' PEN cameras have won a 2010 TIPA Award. I recently had a chance to test one of the latest cameras from Sony, the Cyber-shot HX5. This camera is an outstanding model, offering HD video and an in-camera GPS system, which allows for easy geotagging. My Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX5 review is now posted on the Sony camera reviews page. Just click the link to read the full review. The HX5, sometimes called the DSC-HX5V and the DSC-HX5B, is one of the nicer cameras you'll find this holiday season. It also won a TIPA award as the best compact camera earlier this year. The Sony HX5 easily fits into my list of the best cameras under $400. Express Review posted for Nikon Coolpix L110! http://www.imaging-resource.com/PRODS/L110/L110A.HTM Among the smaller and lighter super-zoom digital cameras, the Nikon Coolpix L110 covers a good zoom range, from a pleasing 28mm wide-angle to a useful 420mm. Its 12.1-megapixel sensor means that the Nikon L110's overall image quality is pretty good, producing useful prints from ISO settings as high as 3,200. The Nikon L110 is a very basic long zoom digital camera, built for the novice shooter, but it still has a fairly high-resolution LCD, sporting 420,000 pixels. Essentially an APS-C version of their popular 12-24mm f/4.5-5.6, the lens uses new FLD glass elements which Sigma compares to the performance given by fluorite lenses. In our testing, we've found that there may be something to this claim: click here for our full review of the Sigma 8-16mm f/4.5-5.6 DC HSM. The translucent mirror in the Alpha A55, A55V, and A33 remains fixed in place during operation, allowing most light to reach the imaging sensor, while a small portion is reflected to a dedicated autofocus sensor. This enables the most unique feature of Sony's SLT-series cameras -- full time, phase detection autofocus, even during movie capture! The Alpha A55V, A55, and A33 also have brand new Exmor...
